Let’s See Paul Allen’s Card…

“New Card. Whaddaya think? Picked them up from the printer’s yesterday. It’s bone, and the lettering is something called Silian Rail”.

RaeMag Cards

The official RaeMag flyer card is finally here. Grammatically correct, informationally sound with pointed edges and a rectangular shape. All the makings of a perfect business card, minus the subtle off-white coloring and tasteful thickness of course…

rae-magazine-online-writers-wanted_1254666995875

Well versed guitar players with superb command of the English language, extensive writing experience and the ability to decipher a dominant 7th chord from a Neapolitan sixth, don’t really exist. However, if you happen to be the rare exception and have few other pressing matters to attend to, send forth your article submissions in haste! The categories (in particular order of precedence) are as follows:

Guitar Music Theory
Guitar Gear
Musician Lifestyle

Your contribution, if accepted, will be rewarded with adulation, honorable mention and of course money. $10 to be exact, in exchange for your 500-700 riveting and thoughtful words.

*Please Note: As of October 1, 2009 Magazine article submissions are closed.

Fare thee well faithful local host, RaeMag beta has arrived!

A moment that on many occasions we thought might never come, the first incarnation of RaeMag has finally emerged for the enjoyment and (possible rebuke) of our intrepid beta testers. Yes, both of you.

ss1

At present, we expect things to run smoothly, but any glitches, discrepancies, errors or brilliant flashes of light should be reported to a professional, then, promptly to the RaeMag team by submitting a bug report (a button for which can be found at the top right-hand corner of every page).

We encourage even the most pedantic of testers to send in their suggestions, corrections and ideas, which will ultimately help shape the fabric of RaeMag for future releases.

To our beta testers, we thank you. To anyone interested in seeing what RaeMag is all about, grab yourself an invitation over at beta.raemag.com

Drop by Under The Raedar anytime for regular updates and other digressions as RaeMag beta continues…

Beta Now Than Never…

At first, we were inclined to tut and bemoan the idea of a beta blog. Various debates were held, words flung around the room, amongst which were adjectives such as Unnecessary! Silly! and Cheese!

Opting to forgo the obligatory beta blog, we forged ahead with the development of RaeMag at top speed.

Until one faithful evening, whilst basking in the warm glow of our LED monitors, we realized that there was quite a growing list of hitherto unnoticed progress that had already been made.

After a few moments of reflection and digression, we conceded that the best way to update all of you on the status of RaeMag would be, unsolicited phone calls! However, long hours of flipping through the yellow pages clouded our judgment and we somehow ended up with a beta blog instead. Something we now affectionately call, Under the Raedar.

If you’ve managed to stumble upon our little underground layer of web, we are obliged to have you!

Feel free to check back from time to time, or subscribe to our feed or any of the social networking sites you fancy most, as we inch ever closer to the Winter release of RAE Magazine Online.
